A downloadable game

The goal of the game is to always arrange at least three or more blocks
of the same color in a row. These then disappear and score points.

You can fire and destroy blocks with the joystick button.
By moving the joystick up or down, you can nudge the top blocks of a column to the right or left and move them in the desired direction.

The game gets faster and faster based on time.
The goal is to hold out as long as possible and score as many points as possible before a column of blocks reaches the top of the screen.

You can exit the game with ESC.
The game can be paused with Space or P.

In the menu, the "Swap up/down" option can be used to swap the joystick controls up/down for nudging the blocks.

Under "Competition" you can select three options (A, B, C).
These start the game with an identical sequence of blocks each time.
This can be used, for example, at events to start the game on several Amigas in parallel and see who is the best player under identical conditions.
(Very simple, there is no null modem option and no 2-player mode!)

The game should work on any Amiga with at least 512 kb of chip memory and KickROM >= 1.2

Game was made 2025 by TheoTheoderich using AmiBlitz3 on a real Amiga Computer.
The music was composed by wiseman.

Install instructions

Download the ADF file (virtual disk) to play Block Cannon in the emulator, or transfer the ADF to a disk to play Block Cannon on a real Amiga.

If you have an Amiga with a hard drive, you can download the LHA file, unzip it, and start it by clicking on the Block Cannon icon (of course, you will need the LHA unzipper to do this).

very good

Thank you very much :-)

Very nice game!

If you don't mind, you are welcome to create a current video with the new music from wiseman.
It was finished last night ;-)

Thanks for sharing the game. Glad you found someone that fast to provide music. The embed video is set to private, though.

It will be public in a few minutes, you are too fast ;-)
I uploaded the video to YouTube only a few minutes ago, so YT is still processing the video.

Will be slower next time, 100% promise :D
